Turtle Neck Refashion

タートルネックのTシャツはやっぱり似合わないと思い、タートルネックを切り離すことにしました。

Original state

布はいい素材だし、サイズも合っているので手放すのがもったいなかったから。最初はタンクトップにしようかと思ったんだけど、袖を切り離すのが面倒だったので、襟だけ変えて普通の丸首シャツにすることにしました。
この時点で丸えりの線が曲がってることに気づけばよかったんだけど・・・。

So the neck band was sewn askew...

I had this Ralph Lauren turtle neck shirt for a while but I have finally come to a conclusion that the turtle neck does not good on me, especially with my sagging middle age double chin. I liked this drapy knit fabric (94% rayon, 6% lycra) so it's a refashion time.

I just unpick the turtle neck, cut the turtle neck lengthwise in half then stitched together at the short ends to make a narrower band, and attached it as a round neck band back onto the shirt.

I originally attached the neck band on the wrong side so I probably spent more time unpicking the 4-thread serged seam than actually sewing.
