About

Hi, I'm Hachi. Thank you for visiting my blog.

I am Japanese, born and raised, and this blog is written partially in Japanese so that my mother can read. Since I don't use Japanese daily, I am struggling a bit with writing in Japanese so my writing is short and blunt. At the same time, my writing in English is not perfect either (it's my second language so give me some credit) so that's that.

The Man of the House (aka MOTH) and I lived in North Carolina, then drove across the continent to move to Arizona. After 10 years in the desert, we moved to England for 2 years. We are back to the U.S., and now in Alabama as of 2019.

I'm originally a high school drop-out in Japan. If you know Japan, you know how fatal that is, socially and economically. I got depressed and I quit high school when I was a senior. I did get my bachelor's in the U.S. eventually (summa cum laude with honors, don't forget that. Yes, I'm boasting. ...Though sociology major is pretty useless) and I strongly believe in learning (but learning the right thing at the right timing). I hope to continue to learn new things as I wade through my middle-age life and share my experience here on my blog.
