Green Onion

夕ご飯用にグリーンオニオン（ワケギみたいな葱）を一束買ったので、切り落とした根っこの部分を花壇畑に植えました。

根の生えてるところから２センチぐらいしか残さずに切ったのに、翌朝にはもうこんなに伸びてたよ。
ちなみにこれは（↓）は春に植えたやつ。

必要な時にちょきっとはさみで切って使います。前は窓辺で水だけで育ててたんだけど、やっぱり土に入れたら育ちがいい。
もう一体何度刈り取ったことでしょう。もう底なしのようにまた生えてくるからすごい。

Since I bought a bunch of green onions for dinner, I planned the cut off root side ends in the soil. They grew half an inch just over night.
I used to grow the green onion ends in water on the windowsill but the one in the soil definitely grow strong. The one I planted in spring is still growing no matter how many times I chopped it off, almost perpetually.
If this batch grow well, maybe I don't have to buy green onions any more.
